This the first time I made a visual board with my words...my soul talk . I know many will say only words are better...no need of frill & fancy, no need to add visuals ! I think if we don't experiment/ don't explore various media we will be 'dead man walking' ! No it's not an explanation; the truth is I hate giving explanation ...now don't morph the meaning ! The first time I uploaded my soul-talk in my facebook cover...why the Earth I did..I don't know now...that moment I thought that was apt !
Chennai Diaries (prev. waiting for the sunrays..)
Its a narration of experiences between the Space and Individualself, the words are nothing personal or impersonal, still in search for appropriate coinage; sometimes after a Dream I woke up and till I pen it down it keeps me haunted;

Size matters : Tree or Bush !
It's a common practice after you have planted a sapling in a treated soil, you have to keep an eye over the sapling's growth. And there, you will be the decision maker whether you need a bush or tree !! if the sapling grows too fast, branching out near soil, think deeply and make a decision. I know, buddies, you are wondering why am I writing a blog over sapling growth. May be you are thinking I have become an amateur planter, en process of farmer ! No-not yet. But as a Zoology Post Grad, 'Nature' amuses me....it is indeed God.
Here, in this blog post I am talking about business. How? scratching head??...good , but don't scratch your balls, you will not find answer there!! Keep the pun aside. So what is the relation between sapling growth with business? When one starts up a new venture, sometimes he/she will not be able to foresee the growth of the company. And hence, it is a high chance that start-up could become a 'Bush'..with all low branched out silhouettes, instead of becoming single trunk big tree. There is nothing wrong with a bushy structure, depending upon the objective. A 'Bush' is a great place to hide, a structure/system that grows so fast that obviously media will spot you and make you sit on the cloud nine. But the life span of a bush is much shorter than a big tree, from where one can not only avail good quality fruits but also can sustain when storm hits, as the tree has a solid singular trunk.
The hitch is if your sapling grows to 'bush' it is very hard to become a tree then. There are some rules to follow to avoid bushiness and to encourage your venture becoming tree.
Take a deep breath and start snipping out all the lower branches, make sure you put disinfectant to all cut areas, or else that will lead your business to another soup.
Make sure the higher branches will get enough exposure; (sunlight and the assimilation process, you know!)
If it flowers early, don't go for the temptation of getting fruits fast. Instead do nip the buds and wait for the proper flowering time.
I have not enlisted the above points in 1, 2, 3 cause it is you who will decide what to do when , according to your venture status. The best way is get a back-packing mood for a week and wander around a plantation field. I am sure, you guys will definitely find out your own solutions (more improvised ones may be) to sustain. For me yes, size matters, I would love to have a tree rather than bush. Signing off, Chao.

Mirror me mirror
I have been silent for 3 months. Not able to see myself in mirror, literally; was running like a racing horse, who was put through on betting in a race course, but my jockey was missing. So I ran like a wild horse in a race course neither tamed nor polished and hence created a havoc. The people who gathered to watch the race in social media , expressed their mixed reactions. Some of them were disgusted & horrified , watching a wild horse in an arena. Some of them were indeed amused ,watching the show and kept on betting. Some of them didn't bet at all , they were just voyeurs. And some of them thought that wild horse might spoil their trained ones so better to lash her out from arena. So what happened to that wild horse ?? She ran to her joy, without bothering the finishing line and did kick the tamers who came to lash her as well as stopped the show.

When wall becomes your companion....
Reality check; yes, sometimes we ,women should do at regular intervals. Irony is we never bothered...so deeply involve with all our duties n roles, say, "Wife", "Mom", "Ghar ki Bahu", "responsible worker", "work partner"....blah blah blah. Majorly ,we, deeply happily juggle all our roles forgetting our own selves. Now this one is the new word "our own selves"...what is this? what the hell it is ?? it is often a forgotten identity which being moulded into something as per others wishes, with high expectations on proper execution of duties. You miss one, and see the consequences, everyone will make you guilty. Now now, I know that I am sounding too chalky....partial???..... I really don't know if my thoughts are partial, only I know when the house-walls being transformed into sole companions to give you a shoulder, it is time for a recheck. May be a rebooting is better !
P.S.- oh yes, am a proud emotional individual . Proud because , the trait "Emotion" is rare nowadays. As being an emotional individual I might not be able to take steps calculatively, you know weighing the pros n cons about investing time n resources to gain tangible things..I wish I would go for a long walk in this stormy rain "Nilam" and never return again......

Chennai Social Media Scenario part-2: What is our Society getting out of it??
Nowadays am very comfortable with a particular colour ,
though don’t know the exact reason. May be I have put on some bi-products,
working continuously on laptop. Every now and then I prefer to wear only ‘Black
with Red’ . Black as a main colour and
Red as a companion rather than highlight as I use to think am wearing “black “
only . Black makes me slimmer, you know. But my mind myth has shattered
yesterday, while watching mirrors , content I was, then my daughter pointed me
out about my sudden affinity towards “red n black”& “Red n Black”&
“Black N Red”....Oh! ..this colour combo
gave another instant vision on my mind, seen the subject in Facebook recently,
which is trying to prove spreading something worth!! This worthiness is so deep
desperation that many individuals made it personal goal to prove themselves worth rather to prove
ideas worth spreading. Too much use of “worth” in one sentence is making me
sick already. I think reader will feel the same. But the fact is I can’t help dear
all, as some leadership(!!) minds are masturbating with word “worth”. Who is worth to
whom/ which?? The question remains ...as one of my comrade Benny has put some
words in his facebook wall..” Integral Coach Factory
aka a room full of Life Coaches... belting out motivational speeches.. Chennai
are your ready to hair standing performance...????”(thought idea worth
spreading!!). With ticket priced 5K & 3K, the event is claiming
to give attendees a hair rising experience. Now don’t make haste decisions
dears...yes which kinda hair rising effect it is going to give , could be able
to imagine as speakers are from all 10 countries, more or less everyone is
certified “life coach” and few from other arena (very few speakers from India itself)!! Isn’t it too much
affinity towards “White skin” n “Exoticism"?? Then why the organizers did not
choose majorly, from their fellow countrymen to inspire today’s youth?? Is there lack of
inspiring individuals in our country?? Or organizers think today’s Youth are so
dumb that it is easy to lure them by showing “Foreign
inspirations”?? The main question is how it will bring change to our society and
culture??...what benefit society is getting out of it??...or is it only a
"SHOW OFF"??
I am sure many of us would agree with me and will send me IM in
facebook as it happened in last scenario, when my dear friend fondly shared a
sentence from my previous blog-post. Some went gaga about my knowledge,
forgetting theirs. Some even went too personal that at some point of time I was
laughing myself watching all these social virtual world hoopla. Come on guys,
you people wasted too much real time to prove yourself in virtual world. Come
to the real world and see every one knows who is sitting on whose Shits!! The
latest shit is the inclusion of a special speaker from our city Chennai who is
who God himself doesn’t know. Such a pitiful state of an event where it claims'
ideas worth spreading'! Recently I came
across a blogpost , how 'the very worth spreading event' is getting
killed. The author is equally concerned about those 'speaker's profile' and their abilities to inspire our society!! There are end number of reviews who also thought the value is getting
diluted by adding X,Y,Z. 'how many ideas worth spreading' read here, read more .Now I have to cross the fire too that’s
why I am giving the links to read as well as to see what was the main aim for that
event when it was started to spread ideas worth and compare the state of its
happening in Chennai, tallying the speaker profiles.
Is it really worth buying tickets, attending to see all commercially
motivated ‘life coaches’ (sourced by another so called ‘life coach’ in Chennai)
preaching us?? Decision is all yours.
P.S.- (For whom, who will start jumping & questioning if I
ever had attended any TEDx to know how valuable is this). I did attend last
November their youth event with real aspiring speakers (loved Chetan Korada’s & Jayshree Raveendran’s inspiring talks read more).
Must mention , on that event, the then organizers chose some good inspiring speakers, who
had achieved laurels in their life. Besides I did attend another one which was
hardly having attendees except speakers and their companions. As a trend
analyst, I understood the falling trend very precisely that day itself, watching all empty chairs how it is going to fade
away from its said aura for ill-management. Signing off, last but not least I have decided that I
will consciously, not wear this colour
combo as it is becoming the symbol of “mundane and stale” as the very event, in
Chennai.

Racing :)
I wish I could have 48 hours a day instead of 24 hours. Yes I wish truly as the time is running so fast to work on all those beautiful creative ideas. I am glad that I have finished market research for Paula on time. The beautiful part is I came through so many innovative packaging designs that made my jaw dropped and the journey full of knowledge that I enjoyed mostly. Today am running out of time so I would better sign off..I will want to share my recent research knowledge with you folks. Be in touch. Bye for now.

Chennai Social Media Scenario : a sneak peak, Part 1
I know how many times I thought yesterday that I would write a blog post now..(sigh!) could not able to though it was in my priority list. I was too busy whole day roaming around Chennai, went to some book reviews ,then for a meeting , then Dream Zone's fashion Show invitation to attend and a cocktail party late.
Anyway its good to prioritize things ..but do not fall into the system too much..it will spoil the ongoing works. Being a mom, a researcher, a worker I follow the "flexible work "practice which is now slowly getting popular in India, still a long long way to go India! There are many aspects which my country need to improve for the sake of more productivity as well as progress. There are many issues...we want to solve, want to address, as responsible citizen, thinking without personal benefit. But the irony is 'True Change makers" are very very less here, the pseudo ones are more...wearing masks, they only think their personal benefit. How Pitty!!
The growth of this pseudo"Change makers"/ activists in Chennai is really alarming!! Chennai is my home town now, many emotional memoirs in my life transformed this city as "My Home", I have literally felt the sweat and smell of the city which is impossible if you only made your journey within air-conditioned system!!
Indeed it's quite a memorable journey with the fair share of love and disguise. Nowadays Chennai has been changing very very fast.....it's her vulnerable "sweet Sixteen" time.. as in case of every vulnerable period ,some opportunists wander , here too it is prevalent. Some petty pseudo change maker groups are mushrooming with some old buggers who have no achievements in their life (nobody knows what they actually do rather than Empty Talks!!) with the association of rich business men's less-educated (ahem !ahem!) kitty party Trophy Wives, who do not know anything except their hair and make up.
The Social Media scenario in Chennai is in pathetic condition, Every now and then in this city's virtual world is booming with some kinda "path breaking(!!) activities" for example.. TEDx Chennai, TEDxyouth, TED(diffrnt college..Stella Maris, Loyola), ...then Ignite, Fail Camp...the list is endless..... TED(x) has become a milk packet here..every morning one TedX is dropping!! Anyone from another world might think wow, about all those buzz!! Yes, there are Buzzes all around....only all the concepts are copying from Western World......there is not a single concept which is original (if I am wrong, I would be happiest person to know that original Indian event's name). Really sad state where individual proclaiming themselves "iconoclast/outliers", could not able to think any original concept, rather than borrowing licensees...moreover what those intelligents(!!) do if they hear about any original idea, they will jump , grab, snatch ,make a seal of themselves on that idea, no matter if the idea is for "social cause" or a "business platform"; pitty they can not even distinguish between "business platform" and "social cause"...for them everything is business...They are best ones who can tell how to pull out revenue structure selling our "Mother".
Signing off now..many more interesting things are trending in Chennai Social Media Scenario....will update you folks.
